Motorcycle Airbag?

If you're a frequent reader, you may have noticed that most of my posts are in some way negative. That can't really be helped. Sorry.

I'm a negative person and most of the stuff I come across is stupid and therefore deserving of whatever insult I hurl at it. This is especially true of the subject of this post, Honda's new Gold Wing Touring Motorcycle.

All in all, it seems like a well designed bike. Honda is pretty well known for its emphasis on solid engineering, so I have no doubt that this a reliable machine, and the asthetics are pretty good for a touring bike. The problem comes from the inclusion of an air bag.

Yes, yes. You read right; an air bag.

Since you can't really use a seatbelt on a motorcycle, wouldn't the air bag just knock you the hell off the bike?
