Apparently the Bible Ain't All It's Cracked Up to Be


I've been saying this for years, but now the Catholic Church is finally acknowledging it too.

Basically, here's the gist of it:
The hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church has published a teaching document instructing the faithful that some parts of the Bible are not actually true.
Not much more to say than that, really. The article, published in The Times Online, goes on to talk about the ramifications for people who want literal interpretations of the bible taught as fact in schools.

Will this be a blow to creationism? Probably not, since that level of ignorance is only attained through a complete dismissal of logic and reality. But hey, whatcha expect?

I gotta wonder, though, won't acknowledging that some parts of the bible are bullshit, lead to people questioning whether or not any of it is true?

I know I certainly am.
