Is Karl Rove Today's Target?

Like I said in an earlier post, it looks like some indictments might be handed out pretty soon in the CIA Leak case, and Karl Rove may, in fact, be a target.

Here's a snippet from a Reuters article:
Rove's attorney, Robert Luskin, declined to say whether his client had been contacted by Fitzgerald. In the past, Luskin has said that Rove was assured that he was not a target.
Generally speaking, when any representative of the Bush Administration changes their story from complete innocence or non-involvement to "no comment" after word comes out that an affair or event is coming to an end, it usually means that they were lying the first time around.

Take, for instance, the claim that Iraq had a stockpile of WMDs, thus necessitating our preemptive invasion of a sovereign state. When it came to light that Iraq's WMD program amounted to little more than a particularly gaseous Republican Guardsman with a suped-up microwave, the White House either refused to comment on it or started pushing the idea that Iraq was somehow involved with 9/11. Though, I guess, in fairness to the White House, they had really been pushing that bullshit 9/11 connection since, well, 9/11.
